Wooden and horn combs are naturally antistatic, i.e. no crackling, no flying hair.

The carefully rounded tooth tips of the combs gently massage the scalp when combing. The blood circulation in the hair cells is stimulated and waste products are removed. Since time immemorial, the horn comb has been valued as the good comb. Presumably because of its good combability, smooth surface and stability.
