Natural rubber is extracted from the milk of the rubber tree (hevea brasiliensis). The resulting rubber is naturally soft, flexible, waterproof and has an easy to clean surface.
Ducks that are made from petroleum-based plastics (PVC, etc.) usually contain phthalates, plasticizers, bisphenols, nitrosamines, etc. These substances serve to soften the per se hard and brittle PVC. All these substances are proven to be toxic. The natural rubber used by Lanco Ducks is free of them. The purer the raw material, the better and healthier.
