DHA is a new, legally required additive in first infant milk and follow-on milk. DHA stands for the long-chain, polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid.
DHA is contained in breast milk and contributes to the normal development of brain and nerve cells as well as vision. To ensure that breastfed babies are also optimally cared for, the addition of DHA is now mandatory. As a result, the lists of ingredients in our infant milks have changed slightly.
Important to know: It is possible that the drinking behaviour and drinking rhythm will change in the first days of the changeover due to the new composition and the slightly changed portion sizes. However, it is possible to change between products of the old and new recipe without hesitation as long as the age specifications are taken into consideration!
