Wool saturated with suint is a traditional household remedy. It is often referred to as “raw wool”. The wool comes from sheep kept in controlled biological livestock farming and contains a high lanolin content. Plant residue is possible and natural due to the gentle washing process. The wool is gentle on the skin and has a warming effect. It soothes tender nipples as well as sensitive baby bottoms and other skin areas.
Allergic note: In the event of skin reactions such as reddening, itching or swelling, treatment must be stopped at once as this may be an indication of a very rare wool alcohol allergy.
