5 natural colours "red, yellow, green, orange and pink"
Pour into a small stainless steel saucepan - enamelled pots are coloured - 750 ml of cold water - without vinegar - and stir in the colouring mixture.
Carefully place 5-7 raw, cleaned eggs - 3-5 days after laying date - in the water with the colouring mixture. The dyeing water should cover the eggs completely and stand about 1 cm above them.
Bring the water to the boil. While heating, carefully mix the powder dye in the water until the dye is dispersed. The green colour creates foam, which is distributed by mixing in the water.
When the water boils, boil the eggs for another 7-10 minutes. After the colouring, rinse the eggs with cold water.
The colouring mixture is for one colouring, with further colouring the colour intensity decreases.
The natural colours react differently to each egg, so that different colour nuances are created. The colour "matures" during cooling. On brown eggs the colour becomes more intense than on white eggs.
Any discolouration in enamelled pots or sinks will fade after repeated rinsing with a commercial dishwashing detergent.
