In order for our organism to be able to perform at its full potential, it needs sufficient iron. With the help of iron, the blood pigment haemoglobin, which supports the red blood cells in supplying the body cells with oxygen, is built up. Particularly increased demand for iron is caused, for example, by increased menstruation or during pregnancy and lactation. Elderly people, the uptake of iron through the intestines can be reduced. Folic acid is particularly important in the desire to have children and during pregnancy, as folic acid (folate) contributes to the growth of maternal tissue.
Floradix® Iron Folic Acid Dragees serve the supply with readily available iron(II) already at normal demand, cover the daily need of folic acid and contain further B vitamins as well as vitamin C for better iron absorption.
Application: Dragees per day with sufficient liquid. It is recommended to chew the tablets unchewed half an hour before a meal. The intake should take place over a period of 4 - 8 weeks. If possible, it should not be consumed together with coffee, black tea or green tea, as the tannins contained can impair the absorption of iron.
Note: A healthy lifestyle is always important. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake! Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. They should be stored cool (5 - 25°C), dry and out of reach of children.
