Arche Organic Kyoto Matcha is a Matcha for the very special high pleasure!
After shading, only the tender, young shoots of the tea bush are slowly and gently ground in stone mills to this uniquely rich powdered tea. The exquisite quality comes from the legendary growing region of Uji, home of the most famous Japanese green teas.
Kyoto Matcha has an intense green color, a particularly multi-faceted, aromatic-fresh taste and a gentle, subtle sweetness.
Matcha is the tea of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and is appreciated today not only for its delicious taste but also for its high content of EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate).
Preparation: Pour a 1/2 tsp (about 1.5 g) Arche Organic Matcha in a bowl to taste with 150-200 ml of boiled water cooled to 60°C. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk for a few seconds until a fine, delicious foam forms. Tip: first whisk the tea powder with two teaspoons of water until creamy, then whisk with the remaining water - this creates a finer foam.
