Vitamin D takes a special position among the vitamins, since it is both supplied over the nutrition and formed by humans by sun exposure. However Vitamin D occurs only limited in food. The concentration is highest in fatty fish, for example salmon or herring. The supply over the nutrition is therefore, straight also with a vegetarian or vegan way of life, unfortunately not always sufficient. In addition, the skin's ability to form vitamin D decreases significantly with age.
If, in addition, less time is spent outdoors and thus the sun exposure of the skin is limited, the body's own vitamin D formation decreases additionally. Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the normal level of calcium in the blood, which in turn supports the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
Vitamin D from vegetable mushroom powder
For the product Vitamin D Compact GSE uses natural vitamin D from the dried two-pored Egerling (Agaricus bisporus), often also called cultivated mushroom. The mushroom is a species of mushroom from the genus Agaricus and is the most widely cultivated mushroom worldwide. The two-pored Egerling was originally probably native to the northern hemisphere in Asia, North Africa, Europe and North America, but is now spread worldwide. The vitamin D2 content of the mushrooms was increased by UV treatment.
The product is gluten free, lactose free and vegan. The valuable ingredients are optimally protected by the high-quality brown glass packaging.
