Lavandin, a cross between lavender fine, is created by propagating cuttings, with the spike lavender acting as the "father" and the lavender fine as the "mother". This plant is larger and bushier than the true lavender and is characterized by a high oil yield. It is mainly grown in the lowlands, which makes mechanical harvesting possible. Lavandin is used in naturopathy to treat skin problems, in baths, compresses and to improve indoor air quality.
The essential lavandin oil with the Demeter seal is characterized by a more stimulating and activating effect compared to real lavender. It is ideal for disinfecting and neutralizing odours. Physically, it has an activating effect, which makes it particularly interesting for athletes. It is also used in blends for vein care due to its toning properties on the skin. Our lavandin essential oil comes from an organic cultivation partner in Piedmont, Italy, where it is grown in controlled biodynamic quality.
