Bergamot oil became famous as an ingredient in "aqua mirabilis", a scented water that later became world-famous under the name "cologne". Earl Grey tea also owes its typical taste to the aroma of bergamot.
The emerald green oil is extracted from the still green fruit peel of the bergamot between November and January. The area around Reggio in Calabria, Italy, is where this special fruit originates and is grown. PRIMAVERA buys directly from organic producers here, thus ensuring pure and authentic quality.
