Lima Wholegrain Long Grain Rice - parboiled, therefore particularly quick to prepare
Long grain rice is a staple food in many parts of the world. The pre-cooked organic version from Lima in cooking bags offers convenience and quality at the same time.
Thanks to a unique hot air process, the cooking time of this rice is reduced while retaining all its nutritional qualities and unrivalled flavour. The cooking bag makes preparation effortless.
Lima Long Grain Rice is suitable for use wherever white rice was previously used and is particularly good as a tasty accompaniment to savoury vegetable dishes and pulses, as well as in soups.
Preparation: One cooking bag makes approx. 2 portions as a side dish:
1. bring plenty of water (approx. 1 litre per bag) to the boil in a pan, add a little salt to taste.
2. place the cooking bag flat in the boiling water. Simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on.
3. use a fork to remove the cooking bag from the water by the loop and drain. Tear open the bag at the perforation, serve the Thai rice and enjoy. The cooking bag is made from a perforated film specially developed for cooking rice.
